WHAT MIKE DEAN SAID
"It’s hard to believe that someone like me could be the Specsavers Admin. But, I just love the power," Dean said as his secret position was revealed. "The ability to judge decisions on the pitch, even if I wasn’t on it. I knew my refereeing days were numbered and I wanted something to keep me busy afterwards. Of course I miss being out on the pitch. But the feeling you get when you post something good, it’s as close as you get to pulling a card out.
"Given my profile, it’s been really to protect my identity. There have even been times when I’ve had to call myself out!"
